Heat in Boatwright Library
QUESTION/SUGGESTION: Why is the heat always so high at night?
ANSWER: We have contacted Facilities about the heat in the library and we realize it is a problem. The heat is actually not on right now, but there are many other factors that affect the library environment. We discovered many of these over spring break when the computers were turned off and the building was closed for a couple of days. Please realize that with the 24/7 schedule of the library, the computers are never turned off and they produce a lot of heat that builds up over time. People (body heat) are also present in the library 24/7. In addition, the afternoon sun produces heat in the lower and upper commons area. Please know that we will keep working with Facilities on the problem.
